The Westbrook Award

The Westbrook Award is being instituted in memory of Peter Westbrook a longtime, and popular member of the Branch (see the appreciation of his contribution on the Members page).

In agreement with his family the Award will try to keep in mind Peter’s modelling attributes.

The Award will be made to the member demonstrating his abilities in one, several or all of the following fields:

A Sustained high level of modelling skill.

The use or development of new modelling techniques.

The passing on of knowledge to other club members.

Support of Branch activities.

These we regard as Peter's strengths.

The Award will take the form of a framed certificate which the winner will keep.

The Committee will decide on the recipient, but nominations are invited from members.

The first presentation of the Westbrook Award is due to be made at the Branch AGM in May 2008.
